What size AC (tonnage) do I need for my room?

Rule of thumb, then exceptions
A closed UAE bedroom around 12–14 m² often sits near 1.0 ton. A 20–24 m² living room with glass can need 1.5–2.0. West sun, high ceilings, and open stairs blow the rule up. Use the tonnage calculator, then send dimensions.
Oversizing
A 2-ton in a small bedroom short-cycles, stays humid, and smells. Bigger is not kinder in this climate.
Ducted
Tonnage is on the FCU / package, not per grille. Count rooms and sun, not Facebook comments.
Warning: do not poke live terminals or recover refrigerant yourself. Isolation first, then WhatsApp.
