Water leaving the pan, not the wall
If the indoor drips after about 20 minutes on cool, the condensate pipe is usually full of algae — not “the AC making water for no reason” and not a gas fault. We flush the pan and the line and test with the unit running.
Coastal humidity (JBR, Al Khan, Corniche) keeps pans wet in winter, so slime returns faster than inland dust. That is a reason to flush, not a reason to add gas.
When it is not a drain
- Ice melt flooding after a dirty coil — clean the coil, do not only blow the pipe.
- A cassette pump that has failed — the cassette page, plus a pump quote.
- A pan cracked through — parts, not a flush.
