Causes
- Tripped breaker or isolator off
- Dead remote batteries / wrong mode
- Indoor PCB failed after voltage dip
- Safety float switch on a full drain pan locking the unit
- Blown fuse on the indoor
What you can safely check
- Check the wall isolator and the consumer-unit breaker labelled AC.
- Replace remote batteries. Try the indoor manual button if it has one.
- Look for a water-full pan — some units refuse to start.
- Do not keep flipping a breaker that immediately trips.
When to get a technician
Power is present, remote is fine, and the indoor is still dark — or the breaker will not hold.
Repeated on/off from a wet float switch is a drain job, not a new PCB. We diagnose before replacing boards, especially on brands with expensive electronics.

FAQs
Power cut then dead AC?
Voltage dips kill boards and capacitors. That is a repair visit, not a reset.
