Pick a number you can hold
23–25°C is the practical band for most homes. 18°C on a split makes the coil colder, the pan wetter, the compressor hungrier, and the room not proportionally nicer. Sleep with a fan speed you can live with rather than a number copied from a mall.
Dry mode
Dry can help a sticky coastal night but is not a magic dehumidifier for a villa. If the unit ices, stop and clean airflow first.
Empty rooms
Do not cool a closed empty majlis at 20°C all day ‘for when guests come’. That is a DEWA hobby.
Warning: do not poke live terminals or recover refrigerant yourself. Isolation first, then WhatsApp.
