Before furniture

This is the easy day to open an FCU. After the wardrobe is under it, everyone gets lazy. Photograph the pan. If it is furred, book split or FCU cleaning before you sleep there.

Ask the agent

Who last opened the unit? A receipt beats a smile. See tenants and the move-out checklist in reverse.

Ducts

If the last tenant smoked or renovated, camera or clean. Grey film on day two is your answer.

Warning: do not poke live terminals or recover refrigerant yourself. Isolation first, then WhatsApp.
